The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the quietest, most comfortable car we run. It suits one or two travellers with a small dog or a cat, and a journey where you want the ride smooth and your pet settled.
Overview
Some journeys are just you and a small companion: a spaniel on the way to the airport, a cat in a carrier on the way to a new home. For those, the S-Class is hard to beat. The cabin is whisper-quiet, the ride is smooth, and the rear seats recline.
It carries up to three passengers and two to three large cases, so it is the right size when there is no crate to speak of and no need for extra room. If you would like more space for your pet or your luggage, the V-Class is the better choice, and we will tell you if we think it is.

How a small pet travels
A cat travels in its carrier, and a small dog travels in a crate or a carrier, or on a harness on the seat beside you. The Highway Code (rule 57) asks that animals are suitably restrained, so please bring the carrier, crate or harness your pet is used to.
When to choose the V-Class instead
If your dog is large, if you have a crate that takes real space, if there is more than one pet, or if more than three of you are travelling, choose the V-Class. Tell us your pet's size and we will advise before you book.
